The name
“Protector” has a long history on the peninsular and for South Australia
as in 1884 our navy boat HMCS Protector arrived from England to protect
the colony and the name has carried on from vessel to vessel as with our
ex police boat “Protector” which has seen plenty of action in the St
Vincent Gulf and in and around the Port River.
“Protector” has full electronics including Radar, Sonar and Global Positioning Systems.
All safety gear is to standard including a 12 man inflatable life raft, and she can carry a maximum of 10 passengers and two crew.
